Corporate Electronic Communications & Legal Disclaimer Policy
1. Scope of Application
This policy applies to all electronic communications issued by Aim Lock & Safe (1993) Ltd., its directors, officers, employees, contractors, and representatives, including but not limited to email, text messaging, electronic attachments, digital portals, and other electronic correspondence.
2. Confidentiality & Privilege
Electronic communications may contain confidential, proprietary, commercially sensitive, security-sensitive, or legally privileged information. If received in error, recipients must notify the sender immediately and permanently delete all copies. Unauthorized review, use, disclosure, distribution, or reliance is strictly prohibited.
3. Non-Binding Communications
Unless expressly set out in a formal written agreement executed by authorized signatories of the company, no electronic communication shall constitute a binding contract, amendment, waiver of rights, settlement agreement, credit approval, guarantee, authorization to proceed, modification of payment terms, or admission of liability.
4. Estimates, Pricing & Scope
All quotations, pricing, estimates, timelines, availability, material specifications, and scope discussions provided electronically are preliminary and subject to on-site verification, supplier confirmation, availability of materials, final measurement and labour assessment, formal invoicing, and written approval where required. Pricing may be adjusted due to supplier changes, freight costs, exchange rates, tariffs, or unforeseen site conditions.
5. Financial & Account Information
Statements relating to account balances, reconciliation summaries, interest calculations, credits, or outstanding amounts are provided for informational purposes only and remain subject to formal accounting reconciliation.
6. Payment Collection
Acceptance of payment, including COD payments, does not constitute waiver of rights or modification of contractual terms unless confirmed in a formally executed written agreement.
7. Regulatory & Dispute Communications
Communications relating to regulatory agencies, compliance matters, disputes, or legal proceedings are made without prejudice where applicable and without waiver of any legal rights or remedies available to the company.
8. Security & Access Work
For safety and liability reasons, the company reserves the right to verify identity and authorization prior to performing services involving property access, lock changes, safe or vault access, or security system components.
9. Electronic Transmission Risk
Electronic communications are not guaranteed to be secure, error-free, complete, or timely. The company accepts no liability for transmission delays, data corruption, interception, or unintended alteration.
10. Privacy Compliance
Personal information is collected, used, and disclosed in accordance with applicable Canadian federal and provincial privacy legislation, including the Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA) and applicable Ontario statutes.
11. No Waiver of Rights
Failure to enforce any right or provision shall not constitute a waiver of such right or provision.
12. Governing Law
All communications and related matters are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario and applicable Canadian federal law.
